ok, lastnight, i went out with celeste and jomelle to watch the last full show of the the Da vinci code movie.yes i know its kinda late, well what do you expect this is bicol anyways, everything here is behind and in slow motion, we'll maybe im kinda exaggerating perhaps but, yes some how you can say its true.
so anyways going back to the topic.i wanted to watch the movie version just so i can distingusihed what is more, ummm trilling, the book or the wide screen version.
and alas! need i say more?i was kinda dissapointed with the movie, i should have expected lesss of it actually.everybody else warned me that it was expected the the film would be somewhat different from the book version and obviously the book is more trilling and precise, coz what can you expect with the 2 hour film right, plus all the cuts, the short cuts and all that.
i should have know better than to expect the 106 chapter i read to be all in the film, but i guess im just i die hard believer, that maybe, just maybe it might be.
so anyways, the critic that i am, during the entire film, i was sitting there, very keen on detail while texting on my mobile draft all the things that are different from the book itself. what? i was dissapointed ok.the least i can do to mend my "hurt" feelings was to critic about it.
but im not saying the movie was all that bad, no,in fact i've thought about it, some scenes was infact in need of some "spice" or else the movie we'll end up a boring hell. So to set the record straight, im not at all 'annoyed" by the film.
first off:
1.In the movie, robert langdon is in a book ssigning session while the police got to him, while on the book, he was sound sleeping in his hotel when he was visited by the poliCE.
2.The mobile robert used in the film was of his own, i think, or of sophie, but, in the book, it was the mobile of the high ranking police officer.
3. sophie's smart car was gray in the film, it should have been red.
4.the car crash, sophie was in the car crash when her family died, but she should not have been.
5.bishop aringarosa, is not at all totally that mean, and he had a change of heart at the end of the book, not in the movie.
6.The swizz bank curator did'nt expose robert langdon and sophie to the police.
7.well sir leigh story telling was kinda short cut.
8.and there was something with the intercom that was differen(i couldnt remeber exactly what)
9.The airplane call was not originally switzerland destination.
10.sophie did'nt attack silas on the plane during the flight.
11.The airport guy was not in any way harassed by the police.
12.there should have been an issu between collet and bezu.
12.Th gettaway car was not a limmousine(?) (or i just dont know my car?)
13.There was no library on the film, they inserted this guy on a bus using a mobile with WAP connection.hmp
14.In the book, the ambigram itself has an ambigram insside.
15.Silas commited suicide, he (if my memory serves me right) jumped into a bridge.
16.In the book, the bishop didnt confess his plan with the other bishops.
17.On the rose church, there were no people, just robert, sophie, her grandmother and brother.
18.on the film, they said the curator was never his grand father.
19.and i think (im not entirely sure) but i think sophie was not really declare the last blood line or the holy grail or whatever that it they are talking about.
but the last part made me like the movie, mainly because, when i read the book, i didnt quite get the ending itself so the movie kinda made it all clear for me.
